BOYS' FOOTBALL NEWS
The Dartford Primary Schools Boys' Football League is made up of 22 teams split into two groups - Blue and Red. Joydens Wood is in the Red League and we have 11 rounds to play before the end of May.
Mr Hillier has very kindly offered to be the coach this season and gives up his time every Thursday lunchtime to run a training session for the boys. The team has played fantastically and after playing ten games we have won eight and only lost two. The boys have scored a total of 44 goals to date! Harvey is our highest goal scorer with 16 goals!
Our latest game was at Hayden against Langafel. This was our last game and, as it's very close at the top of the table, it may all come down to goal difference so lots of goals were important! At the end of half time it was 6-3 to Joydens Wood. In the second half we played much better and the boys had listened carefully to Mr Hillier - they went on to score four more goals and the final score was 10-4 to Joydens Wood. Harvey scored 6, Matthew 3 and Toby 1.
A huge well done to all the boys who have represented our school so far!
