Swanley District High 5's Tournament  9.3.17

Joydens Wood hosted this tournament for Hextable as they are having building works carried out in their school.  Twelve teams entered this event and played in two group heats.  Our 'A' team came top of their group and played St Barts in the semi-final and Hextable 'A' played Wilmington in the other.  The final was between Joydens Wood and Hextable with our team taking the trophy for 2017!  Well done to all the players.

Dartford District High 5's Tournament 15.3.17

The Dartford tournament was held at Joydens Wood this year and we had an impressive 16 teams taking part from primary schools around the area.  We split the teams into four small groups and the top two teams went into the quarter finals.  Our 'A' team came top of their group and went on to play Wilmington in the semi final, after they beat Craylands in a very extended quarter final which went to golden goal!  The other semi final was between Hextable 'A' and Langafel.  For the second time in a week, Joydens Wood were playing in a district final - this time against Langafel who ended up winning 4-1.

Both District Finalists now have to play in a grand final as the winner will go on to represent the area in the Kent School Games in the summer!  This game will take place on Monday 24th April at Langafel.

Swanley/Dartford District Final  24.4.17

This final was to decide which District would represent the area in the Kent School Games in June.  We played the game at Langafel as they won the toss to play at their school.  Unfortunately, being just after the holiday our netball club hasn't started yet so the children have been unable to practise before the match!  We knew it was going to be a tough game but we went determined to win!  After playing four quarters of six minutes, Langafel ended up winning 8-2.  We wish them the best of luck in the Kent School Games.
